One of the best things about the advertising world is getting to know the (seemingly crazy) people you work with on a deeper level. So let me share a little about myself.
HI, I'M DAVE
From a young age, I've loved ideas. I love finding out what makes the world tick. I now have a beautiful wife and three kids, whose minds are all mine! I love writing in any form and believe that the right words can change the world.
MY STORY
I am an international award-winning Creative Director and Copywriter, born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have worked at the best advertising agencies in SA, including one that was rated the best creative agency in the world at the time.
I have also had the privilege of travelling to various parts of the world and believe that experiences like belly dancing on the Nile, elephant back riding in the jungles of Thailand, and skydiving in Vegas can teach you a lot about life and add a little something extra to your work ethic.
WHY THE COURSE?
Over the years, I have seen exceptionally creative people enter the industry, with all the talent and promise you could ask for, but then just fail to launch. They just fizzle out.
After much thought, I realised that there is a huge gap between the theoretical knowledge they receive in college or university, and the practical knowledge needed, but not taught, in advertising agencies. This course fills that gap.
